Interesting move came to light yesterday that had been brewing since the announcement of Pre. Palm have announced Jon Rubinstein as the new CEO while Ed Colligan, the departed CEO will join Elevation Partners. Jon is already the Chairman of the company and will assume his role from tomorrow, June 12.

Palm possibly hinted about the change when Rubinstein was deliberately put in front of Colligan in most of the conferences, interviews regarding the Pre.

Jon Rubenstein joined Palm in 2007 after working with Apple. He is also credited to play an important role in creating iPod.
