Sharp creates industry’s thinnest solar module for mobile devices

Sharp has introduced a solar module that can possibly pave way for solar powered gadgets in addition to mobile phones. Their thinnest solar module currently measures at 0.8mm and it is mainly achieved by using compact semiconductor packaging technology that helps to deliver a maximum power of 300mW.
The LR0GC02 solar module is now available for sampling for 3,000 Yen with the mass production expected to begin from July 10.
