Apple is still 8 million apps away from hitting the billion mark but they do know the D-day when it will reach the magical figure. According to their calculations, it’s Friday, the 24th when you’ll be greeted with the message above. Apple’s app countdown slipped this little detail as it relied on user’s system date and time. Though fixed now, the countdown was fooled by changing the date to 24th.

This is not surprising that Apple is estimating the figure instead of giving accurate ones can be a daunting task.
