Tata launches Nano

As promised, Tata has officially launched the world’s cheapest car. There will be three variants available – Nano Standard, Nano CX and Nano LX. The Standard is the cheapest of the lot which will be a basic car with no AC, no power steering or power windows. CX will have an AC, booster-assisted brakes, power steering etc. while LX adds features of CX and also includes central locking, front power windows, fog lamps and much more.
The booking starts from April 9 till April 25 and the 100,000 cars covered in the first phase will be allotted through a computerized raffle. The delivery of the cars will begin from July 2009.
