Nokia 5800 XpressMusic

Nokia is finally shipping the 5800 XpressMusic phone in the US for $399 excluding taxes. However, if you’re planning to get one, we suggest you to hold your excitement for a few weeks because the NAM variant is reported to have problems with 3G support for US operators. The problem has not been identified by Nokia but many users have confirmed to face this problem.

Other issue that has been raised and acknowledged by Nokia is the use of subpar speakers. The speaker issue affects handsets that were manufactured before end of January, so the chances of NAM 5800s to be affected are only if they were produced before January.

For 5800XM users across the globe, it is advised to replace the existing speaker with a new one from Nokia.
