LG inks a deal with Microsoft, Windows Mobile to be its primary OS

LG is in a mood of alliances. After signing the dotted line with Intel to develop MIDs based on Intel’s Moorestown platform, LG and Microsoft have entered into a new alliance that emphasizes LG to make Windows Mobile as the primary OS for its future phones. This according to their estimation, LG can bring up to 50 Windows based phones by 2012.
The first device to be benefitted will be GM730 with Windows Mobile 6.1 onboard. Windows Mobile 6.5 enabled GM730 will be released later this year.
