Microsoft had already cleared its intentions to create competitive cloud based services. Now Mary-Jo Foley from ZDNet has come up with some details regarding the Microsoft’s Skybox service. Skybox will go through a regular transition, starting with the version 1 beta. The beta will mark the start of the service from MWC and will be offered for free. Skybox will help Windows Mobile users to preserve their data, share or restore it.

The next version 1.5 will supposedly have two flavors – free and a paid one. The service will be extended to WinMo 6.1, 6.5 and few non-WinMo phones.

Lastly, the version 2 will be launched in time around Windows Mobile 7. The last version will try to take advantage from other services under Microsoft’s umbrella.
