LG’s visionary approach has resulted in a development of mobile phone’s 3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) modem chip . The theoretic speeds suggest 100Mbps for downloading and 50Mbps for uploading but a demonstration by LG showed actual download speeds reaching 60Mbps and upload speeds of 20Mbps, which still surpassed the current HSDPA download speed of 7.6Mbps.
