Sony updates PSP firmware to v5.02

Sony is releasing firmware updates for its consoles as if it were releasing anti-virus definition updates. The PlayStation blog has announced the new PSP firmware v5.02 that will claims to improve “system software stability during use of some features, including the PlayStation Store”. The other “some features” are still not known.

The update is expected to go live soon.

  1. luckily this doesn’t block the gripshift hack but rare versions of this do for some people I’m at 4.21 (4.20 if my first 3k didn’t break) and wont update until it’s hacked
