So was it an overtly exaggerated statement or a typo by the Press Bureau? We can’t guarantee that except that the statement has been slyly rectified to $100. And the laptops will be a part of better higher education. India wants to be a superpower by Year 2020 and the bureaucrats reckon better higher education is the key to it, giving it an allocation of Rs. 85,000 crore.
