India was one of the countries to turn down the offer to buy XO laptops and later expressed their interest to create its own version. Well, it seems we might get it…but not so soon. The prototype is still far from reality but as per HRD department’s minister D. Purandeswari, research is going on at the IIS Bangalore and IIT Madras.

We just hope it turns out to be a real deal and not an over ambitious project.
