Brycen Spencer, a engineering student has pioneered a helmet which will increase the probability of saving lives if the rider is faced with an accident. His creation dubbed as Wireless Impact Guardian (WIG) can call emergency services even the victim is unconscious. The WIG works with the help of an accelerometer which on impact starts beeping. If the beep is not stopped within a specified time, it will notify the emergency service via a communication device embedded inside and the GPS will give an exact location.

The helmet is not commercially available for the time being but Brycen has already applied for the patents which means that it could hit the market anytime soon.
