Sony Sugar Battery

As our consumption of power increases day by day, it is important for the companies to develop or find an alternative source. Thus Sony unveils a battery which runs on sugar and generates electricity. The prototype developed was enough to power up a music player along with small speakers. It works by pouring liquid sugar into the unit which then breaks the enzymes to generate electricity.

The new sugar batteries can save a lot of energy as sugar is available almost everywhere, save from pollution because of its environmental friendly nature and above all, it is a renewable resource. Sony plans to produce thesenbatteries for commercial use soon.
