Sony cuts down 60GB PS3 Price & intros 80GB PS3

After a series of denials of the price cut rumors, Sony Corp. has officially announced the price cut. Beginning from tomorrow, 60GB PS3 will cost $100 less at $499. This price cut, for the time being is only applicable for the North American market but will also be applied to other markets if the situation demands so.

Another announcement is the 80GB PS3 availability for US. The updated PS3 will start shipping from August at a price of $599.
