Though Rockbox is not new (it exists from 2001), many of them still do not know what it is. Basically, it is an open source firmware which can replace your existing music player’s firmware to unlock a whole lot of new features like playing Doom, gapless playback etc. Many players from Archos, iRiver, Apple, iAudio and Toshiba are supported.
