Apple iPhone

It was on the cards. Cisco has filed a suit against Apple in the United States District Court for allegedly using their registered iPhone trademark. Cisco owned this name after they took over Infogear which sold iPhone products. The decision came after both the companies could not reach to an agreement on the right use of the name.

Cisco entered into negotiations with Apple in good faith after Apple repeatedly asked permission to use Cisco’s iPhone name. There is no doubt that Apple’s new phone is very exciting, but they should not be using our trademark without our permission.
