This one’s straight from the rumorville. According to this report, it seems Sony is working on a new model of PS3. The new model will have more storage space than now and will be more of a media monster than a gaming monster. However, it would be able to play PS3 games. The media centric version is rumored to have 512MB XDR memory, anti-vibration mechanism for the Blu-ray disc drive, advanced power supply unit, two HDMI connectors to divide audio and video data, totally new design and will be manufactured under the name of Sony instead of SCEI. There is one downside though, it is expected to cost a freakin’ $2500.
