MIL-6600: Ruggedized Tablet PC

We have got mobile phones and even notebooks in ruggedized form giving an extra protection to the device. Now here comes a rugged Tablet PC from Taiwanese maker, Arbor which compliances with the said military standards. The MIL-6600 passes Military Standards 810F tests for shock and vibration and IP68 standards for the dust and waterproof capabilities. The PC can work uninterrupted under water not exceeding 1.5 metres deep and in temperatures varying from the Polar Regions to the Sahara desert (-40°C to 60°C). In the technical area, it is powered by Intel’s low-voltage Dothan processor, 10.4″ touchscreen LCD display, 4 or 8GB of flash memory and 12 user set keys. The ruggedized protection obviously adds to the weight of the tablet making it weigh 3.5kg.
