According to DigiTimes, Dell will be launching sub-$500 laptops which will be powered by an AMD processor. The Taiwanese notebook makers confirmed that 500,000 notebooks with AMD Turion processor will be available to Dell consumers from next month. The first AMD model will have a 15.4″ display screen and will be followed by a 17″ one in early 2007.
