Sony’s next DAP, NW-S706 is set to release next week but the player’s features have hit the web well before. It seems that the player will come in capacties up to 4GB, FM Tuner, line-in recording and a long 50 hour battery life. The thumbwheel will make browsing of files more easier and the EX labelled headphones will help to eliminate noise and give the user a true music experience. NW-S706 will come in three color variants; Black, Pink and Purple and is rumored to be priced at around $336 which is more than what iPod Nano ($249) costs.

As expected the NW-S700F players have flash based memory and comes in capacities of 1GB-4GB and NW-S706F being the highest model available which boards 4GB of space. The USP of the player is its noise cancelling earphones which sports small microphones on the exterior of the earbuds enabling to reduce noise by 25%. Apart from this, it has a prolonged battery life of about 50 hours which takes two hours to charge or for shorter commutes you can charge it for three minutes and get a playback of three hours.
