Apple also has announced a recall of 1.8 million Sony make batteries. The recent Dell recall had created a spark and led manufacturers like Apple, Lenovo and HP to decide whether Sony batteries were safe enough. Apple is the second company to recall Sony batteries and the release suggests that batteries were used to manufacture 12-inch iBook G4, 12-inch PowerBook G4 and 15-inch PowerBook G4 between October 2003 through August 2006.
