Plexeraser destroys data on a CD/DVD

Plextor is going to release a new optical drive which would be used to destroy data on a CD or a DVD. Dubbed as the Plexeraser (model no. PX-OE100E), it can erase data on a dual layer DVD in six minutes and in three minutes for a single layer DVD or CDs. Maybe, its a bit too long and it does not seem worthy too investing in a drive which only destroys data. No word on pricing or availablility.
