Just when you thought you have seen every form factor in cell phones, right from candybar to clamshell to sliders, Samsung has applied for a patent with a Sliding-Clamshell phone design.

The clamshell screen are often small and the sliding phones have big screen. To get the compactness of a clamshell and big screen of a slider, Samsung applied for a patent. Open the phone and it becomes a track for the screen to slide up which reveals the keypad enabling it to use it horizontally.
