Qualcomm, a major cell phone company has teamed up with American Airlines to test the satellite-based air to ground service.
 
This is under testing phase and to test it American Airlines went through the outskirts of West Texas in a jetliner and made calls. The good news is that the test was a success. The calls made during the test were good in reception and clarity was also good. This could be some good news for the people who travel a lot by air.
 
Qualcomm said that this service to come into existence will require about 2-4 years.
