Symantec reported to have analysed the first known virus which is known as W64.Rugrat.3344 to 64-bit Windows systems. Though this virus is written for 64-bit machines but it can be executed on a 32-bit machine using 64-bit simulation software.

This virus will not affect much because it was written by a good hacker to show Symantec and other AntiVirus companies as a threat for the future. Symantec is currently updating its Norton AntiVirus product to protect against W64.Rugrat.3344.
